Sorry, I don't have a free file this week. I'm recovering from Endoscopic Sinus Surgery and haven't been able to do much of anything.  Hopefully, I'll have more energy next week and will have a new file for you next Friday. Have a great weekend!

Teacher Block

Even though we just finished up gifts for Teacher Appreciation Week, I still like to give my kids' teachers a gift at the end of the year. So, here is another quick and easy gift that is great for any teacher.

I love making these blocks. They are so easy to put together and look so cute! I just use a 6" x 6" piece of wood and glue on a wooden knob. Then, I tie some cute ribbon, wire or raffia around the top (you can see the others I have made here, here, and here).

For this block, I first glued on the wooden knob and painted the entire block yellow. Next, I cut out a piece of chalkboard vinyl and covered the front.

The cute ruler border is just ribbon that I glued around the edge. Then, I added the vinyl quote and an apple in the corner. To finish it off, I tied some cute coordinating ribbon around the top.
I just love how it turned out!

Teacher Gift

For some reason, our teacher appreciation week was a week later than most, so I'm a little behind in making teacher gifts.  I found these cute treat jars, but they are way more than I wanted to spend, so I decided to create my own.

I found these plastic bins at the dollar store and just added the vinyl apple.  Then, I filled it with treats in red and green packaging (to go with the apple theme) and wrapped it all up in cello wrap. The tag says "It's been such a TREAT to have you as my teacher!" The kids were so excited to give them to their teachers and the teachers loved them!

This would also make a great end of year teacher gift!

I love projects that are quick and easy and this project was super quick.

I've wanted to try these vinyl leaves for a while, but I needed something fun to put them on.
