Welcome family, friends, and other spooky guests to your home with this spider web welcome sign! It's easy to make and will look so cute hanging on your front door.
Here is what you do:1. Cut your board to the size you want (mine is about 11.5" x 6.5").
2. Paint your board white (or whatever color you want) and let dry.
3. Cut your vinyl a little larger than your board (mine was about 11.75" x 6.75"). Use
registration marks to make lining up your colors easier.
4. Apply the black vinyl. The border should hang over the edges just a little bit. Use a craft knife and trim off the excess vinyl.
5. Apply the orange vinyl.
5. (Optional) Lightly sand the edges of the board (I sanded both the paint and the vinyl).
6. Add a few coats of spray finish.
7. Drill holes and add a wire for hanging.
8. Finish off by gluing on spiders and tying a bow on top.
I was really sad to take down my
acorn door hanger, because I love it (I think it's one of my most favorite projects). But, I think this one is pretty cute, too!
